Because people from Basque Country and Catalonia hate being called Spanish/Spaniards and would actually be more than happy to get independence from Madrid. Regional nationalism in Spain is more in the blood than Spanish patriotism.

raul should have went instead of SERGIO GARCIA. and raul should have played all those minutes guiza got. and raul should have lifted the trophy but oh well casillas deserved it too.

spain was the most entertaining team, best attacking team, best team, and winners of the tournament.

man its been a good year for me, real madrid dominated la liga and wins it, my favourite european team wins, my 2nd fave euro team dominates both world cup finalists, and real madrid was the best club team of euro 2008. every single madrid player except metzelder (just returned from injury so he was OK) was impressive:
