gotta love them...!!
no one gives them much respect in europe, but time and time again they manage to humble even the best that europe has got to offer..!!
now imagine if they had some stability in their country, how far their football would go..!!
this was absolutely a fluke win... even the commentators agreed to that...
1) off-side wrongly called against Germany
2) Germany's goal wrongly disallowed
3) a few fouls wrongly called against Germany
4) fluke second goal... absolute fluke! something you see once every 100 years
overall... yes germany didn't play too well neither, but the croats got lucky... AND their coach is a Akbar Misaghian of his own!! constantly hassling the ref... low-life cheap move
also... you gotta be realistic... germany is a strong contender in all sports (winter and summer olympics) what do these countries like portugal and croatia have? they are just like iran... siphoning down all their resources into one sport and not winning anything at the end of the day... that shows how crappy they are no being able to achieve anything with all those resources

The commentators here were saying that the refereeing so far in this tournament has been very good, but today the ref didn't have such a good day. The Croatians, well actually almost all the former Yugoslavian countries (Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia etc.) and east european countries, with exception of Poland maybe, are all known for performing dirty off the ball tricks and playing mind games, deliberately getting on the nerves of their opponents (kind of like Arab countries, but Arabs are physically less aggressive) and in any important matches they are involved, the officials must appoint an experienced, seasoned ref that puts and end to that as soon as he signs of it.

I remember him clearly from his playing days, he was one of the dirtiest players I've ever seen in my life. Master of foul play and dirty mind tricks. I remember at least 2 occasions where he kicked players lying on the ground in off the ball situations. He is a real low life and I was utterly surprised to see him appointed the national coach in a country that produces many good coaches!
HOMER: Son, when you participate in sporting events, it's not whether
you win or lose.... it's how drunk you get.
