they are a great team, but unfortuneately Eduardo who could have created some real attacking chances within their solid squad isn't there.
the team that is overrated is Germany. They are "tournament favourites". but all their goals have come from scrappy plays by a Polish kid.

hmm.... comparing a fluke goal (ball hitting the post and landing on a striker's foot) and the shot beautifully taken by podolski i'd say the fluke goal was crappier of the two

but germany for sure is not living up to expectations... and why should they? they have 3-4 good players and the rest are just average... look how poorly they've been doing at club level and the best legionnaire they have is Balack who was mostly a sub at chelsea...

i havent noticed the commentators rating them highly before this game...its only natural to earn praise after defeating the supposed tournament favorites, but before the game i can only recall one reference during the spain game where the commentator basically said they suck along with russia and england, who were all in the same group.

also... you gotta be realistic... germany is a strong contender in all sports (winter and summer olympics) what do these countries like portugal and croatia have? they are just like iran... siphoning down all their resources into one sport and not winning anything at the end of the day... that shows how crappy they are no being able to achieve anything with all those resources

lol croatia and portugal are small countries compared to Germany.

Croatia has a population of just 4,493,312 and Portugal has 10,642,836 compared to Germany which has the biggest population in europe with a staggering 82,400,996

So these countries are actually quite under rated considering their demographics. They still manage to produce such world class football.

dude i love Croatia my best freind is from there. they are very nice people and they remind me of iranians. They also havea strong team and although they only havea population of 4.4 million people in Croatia like the announcer said they play with great pride. And i respect them for that, i see Croatia as a iran in europe.
