              More attractive AND more effective

Arsenal has become a glorified feeder club - everyone establishes themselves here and then moves on to other clubs because they dont win anything - and yes that day isnt far when Fabregas, Adebayor, Sagna etc will move away.

Yes and Arsene Wenger is a paedophile.
These points are useless. Fergie is a paedophile as well, it's just he never scores with the youngsters. (Walcott, Ramsey). And about Real, their La Liga triumph was dependant on the shittiness of the usual contenders if I dare say so

                  LOL

He never scores with youngsters ? You do realise that Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, the Neville brothers, Nicky Butt, David Beckham, Darren Fletcher, John O'Shea were all part of United's youth academy years and made the first team under Sir Alex ?

Please dont compare Arsenal's and England's mascot Walcott to United's, and Aaron Ramsey ? Well good luck breaking the team since previous British youngsters at Arsenal (Francis Jeffers, Jermain Pennant) were utter flops under Wenger and are utter flops elsewhere after that even

I understand that. In recent years, however, the ones mentioned (Fletcher O'Shea) have not been a significant as Giggs or Scholes. That being said, there's a reason why Pennant went out the door... Moreover, even if Walcott was a mascot (Big if, as he is becoming more and more a quality player even though he doesn't even get playing time for England [even though you call him england's mascot]), is Fabregas a mascot? I'm sure we can compare Cesc to any great youth signing.

Also, as a side note, if we were to draw a parallel between Rio and Kolo, the difference in price would be embarassingly big 33 mil to 150 grand.

Fletcher and O'Shea know their role as squad members given the face United realise that they have to buy players if they are to win more European Cups and keep Chelsea's rent boys in check in England - as was the case with AC Milan and Real Madrid in the past 2 decades going with a combination of home grown talent and spending millions for quality foreigners.

But Fletcher and O'Shea have always shown heart, committment and determination in going the extra yard to justify their selection. You dont see many people literally winning the title by scoring a goal in stoppage time at Anfield like O'Shea did in 2007, nor would you see a bench warmer coming up and obliterating a near full strength Arsenal in the FA Cup when Fletcher scored 2 past them this year.

O'Shea is versatile, you can stick him as a full back, in central midfield, in defence or even in goal Sure he doesnt excel in any of them but when problems comes, O'Shea rarely disappoints. Fletcher is a big game player - against mid table teams if he is lucky enough to play he doesnt look the cut, but against big teams he performs like a midfield dynamite. Chelsea in 2005/06, Roma in the quarter finals, and Arsenal in the FA Cup.

Reason I call Walcott a mascot is how Sven selected him for 2006 World Cup squad, I was literally laughing me arse off at that one since little Theo had not even played a full game at Arsenal that season. It was mindboggling. He will become a really good player, but apart from his wonder run against Liverpool at Anfield in the Champions League, he is too young and immature. Fabregas is something special - a pansy and a brat too - but Cesc is a superb talent.

As I said, Arsenal lack grit and they self-implode like hell when battle goes to attrition. Just look at William Gallas when he lost the plot and Arsenal's title challenge at Birmingham City.

Ok, I respect O'Shea and Fletcher, but the point is that they are just utility players and not the big pieces to the puzzle that is Man U as Fabregas is to Arsenal.

Arsenal didn't lack grit during the untouchables season did they? Gallas' antics was not what turned this season around, but Eduardo's injury. Consider this, Arsenal's win percentage suffered a severe drop from 73% to 42% following Eduardo's injury.

So did a lack of grit cost us the season or injuries to critical players like Rosicky, Eduardo, Van Persie and in the end, Sagna (where toure replaced him leaving a hole in the cb position which was displayed perfectly in TOrres' CL goal).

Also, Walcott actually did have an important role in the later part of the season and even scored that double in that Birmingham match that ended with a tie because of a 93rd minute question mark-penalty.

Next season, Arsenal is going to be even stronger.

And who were those 'Untouchables' of 2003/04 and where are they now ? All gone mate either being unceremoniously dumped by Wenger (Pires, Campbell, Lauren, Ljunberg) and disgurntled because Wenger wasnt serious abt winning trophies anymore (Henry - esp. Henry - Viera, and the lot) ^_^

That's what they always say about today's Arsenal - they come back stronger and then players leave the club because they still arent strong enough.

Do you honestly think that the henry we see today in Barca and France would be that valuable to the Gunners? He himself said that in the last season He would ask for a pass when out of position and was slowing them down. He said it himself. Arsenal was definately stronger in 07/08 than in 06/07... and don't talk about players leaving because of a weak team over lack of loyalty or cash hunting, as you are in the same situation as us with Cronaldo.

How do you like this midfield?
