He is still a very talented player, but he isn't at his best at Inter. A lot of it thanks to his personal lifestyle.
he is my favorite Inter player, but the alcohol ****ed him

Because he is a one footed player that never was that good to start with, but teh media made him feel as if he was a somebody when in reality he was just an above average player.

Inter Milan's Adriano: I knew Euro axe was coming

Adriano admits he was aware that Inter Milan weren't going to register him for the Champions League.

The Brazilian's name was left off of Inter's squad list that was submitted to UEFA last week and Adriano revealed: "(Coach) Roberto Mancini did not say to me 'we're leaving you out for sure'. He has only explained to me that it was a hypothesis that was being considered. That was his thinking.

"I have answered: 'You do what you must do: if I was able to play also in the Champions League, I will play. Otherwise I will play the other games, when it is possible'."

          Adriano Banished From Champions League

Inter Milan have officially left Adriano out of the 25-man squad submitted to UEFA late on Saturday night.

Adriano has been unsettled at Inter Milan over the last ten days, since it became apparent that the club wanted to offload him.
The chances of a last gasp move ended with the close of the summer transfer window, and less that 24 hours later, Inter Milan have confirmed recent rumours by leaving the Brazilian out of their Champions League squad.
As a result, he will not be able to play in the competition, at least until it resumes in February after the fresh round of registration following winter transfer period.
This sees the relationship between the player and the club sink to a new low, even though Roberto Mancini played it cool.
"For me it has been a great disappointment to leave out any player," he said after the game against Empoli.
"My relationship with Adriano? I have spoken with him a lot in these past years and there has always been great confidence on my part.
"As I said in yesterday's press conference, I'm convinced he will return to being the great champion he was. He has to do his bit, and we will also do more to help him. Together, we can do a lot."
Earlier in the week, Adriano refused to move to the likes of Parma or Lazio, or to England, on loan, and the general opinion is that this is Inter's response.
However, that the player will not be Cup-tied, and thus be a lucrative winter target for top clubs, might just have played a part too.
          Squad
Goalkeepers: Francesco Toldo, Julio Cesar, Paolo Orlandoni
Defenders: Ivan Cordoba, Javier Zanetti, Maxwell, Maicon, Nicolas Burdisso, Marco Materazzi, Nelson Rivas, Walter, Samuel, Cristian Chivu, Dennis Esposito
Midfielders: Dejan Stankovic, Luis Figo, Luis Jimenez, Patrick Vieira, Olivier Dacourt, Esteban Cambiasso, Santiago Solari, Francesco Bolzoni
Strikers: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cruz, Hernan Crespo, David Suazo

So that means he may end up leaving in January and still take part in the Champions League elsewhere. Its just sad, what a sad and abrupt fall from grace he has had since early 2006 when he first got injured and started putting on weight and boozed up.

^^^ he truly was and is a great player and i thin it's a shame that Inter has no interest in this guy anymore. he can create so many chances up front.

Inter Milan's Adriano open to West Ham move

                  tribalfooball.com - September 03, 2007

Inter Milan striker Adriano is ready for more talks with West Ham United in the coming weeks.

Adriano has informed Hammers boss Alan Curbishley he would consider a loan move to Upton Park when the market reopens in January, says the Daily Mail.

Inter Milan president in new dig at Adriano agents
                  tribalfooball.com - September 04, 2007

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has taken a fresh swipe at Adriano's advisors.

Moratti is still angry that Adriano's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, refused to consider allowing the Brazilian to move away on-loan before Friday's summer transfer deadline.

After insisting that Adriano still had a future at Inter, despite being left out of their Champions League squad, Moratti snapped: "There is someone involved with him who is taking advantage of his money and friendship ..."

Moratti also said: "We will not replace Adriano during the January market. Everyone is just exaggerating what has happened."

Vieira plays for France against Inter wishes

MILAN, Sept 5 (Reuters) - France captain Patrick Vieira looks likely to play in the Euro 2008 qualifier with Italy on Saturday but his club Inter Milan are less sure of his fitness.

The midfielder has missed the start of the Serie A season because of a hamstring strain but is desperate to play on his home ground in the Group B match, which is a repeat of the World Cup final.

'In the last week Patrick has only done physiotherapy and athletic work without touching a ball,' Inter fitness coach Ivan Carminati told the Gazzetta dello Sport Web site on Wednesday.

'To play on Saturday would be a big leap. I trust the professionalism of everyone.'

Vieira told Reuters last week that although he would give himself every chance to play, he did not want to risk being ruled out of next Wednesday's qualifier against Scotland.

'Vieira's physical problem is disappearing,' France coach Raymond Domenech was quoted as saying by Gazzetta.

'Patrick is better but it is him who will decide if he plays. I am not a doctor, in 14 years I have never risked a player.'

France, who beat their rivals in Paris in September to avenge their World Cup final defeat, lead Italy by two points in Group B.

you should start watching Serie A for at least 1 season, make up your own mind.

personally I think Roma is the most respectable club in Italy, and they always compete with everything they got for the title. Not only that but them and Inter are the only big clubs that weren't penalized for cheating last year.
