no, in Freestyle we are second after strong Russia

in Greco-Roman, we are in top 4

we're good enough to be #1
i dont know much about rankings and how reliable they are...they go off of points and the whole team...im sure we have strong individuals who are the best but as a whole team we might not be

yea man i feel you there iran will always be one of the best in wrestling.

in Junior level, we are always on podium . (most of them on second place after Russia)

but in Senior level, World Championships are very tough !

we won Freestyle title 4 times (61,64,98 and 2002)
and in Greco-Roman , our best place is 4th ! (2007 in Baku)

last year in Baku, Iranian Greco team did very well, they got 1 Gold and 2 Bronze (3 medals for first time) and we finished on 4th place. but one of Iranians (Mehdi Mohammadi) did not wretle due to Israel draw ! (if he got at least 6th place , we were WORLD GRECO-ROMAN CHAMPION ) !

but Freestyle team got 7th place ! one of the worst results in iran's history !
