    Singapore 2 - 0 Iraq

Singapore beat Iraq in the Asian Cup. I never saw Singapore beat such a strong team before.
South Korea barely beat Syria 2 - 1. This shows that the Koreans need to improve their defense.
Iran beat Taiwan 1 - 0 in a home game. This puts Iran at 2nd place in Group B, with South Korea at 1st in the same group.
    Japan thrashed India 6 - 0.

Sorry about that. The Korean internet news made a mistake.

I am glad Singapore won. They have been improving every year and they are now a big force in the South East Asian reigon.

They have a population of 2 million with a country no bigger than the city of Tehran but they are improving so much in football.

Really a bad game from our team on such a black day in Iraq.
I hope they can get their focus and do something against China in AlAin.

^^^ South Iraq, have you seen the match?
If so, do you think the loss had something to do with what happened to the holy shrine?
I mean were the Iraqi players down/not concentrated/less motivated because of the cruel bombings?

There's no doubt what happened in the holy shrines of Samara affected the players but having said that Singapore deserve the credit for their victory. What showed on the Iraqi team their was their poor motivation & momentum, on the other hand singapore played a well organized tactical game, so on a day like that one set piece & a counter attack & the game was theirs.

Aha so it seems like Singapore has improved a lot. I never thought they could be able of defeating Iraq.

Anyway good luck in the rest of the qualifying campaign. Iraq is definitely the country I'm supporting after Iran. I hope you guys manage to get through somehow.
