    Awful.

Ill give A-League another 10 to 15 years until they become a league with Promotion/Relegation and a at least 2 strong League with minimum of 15 teams in each league.

I know that what they are offering at the moment is quality..
    Its not bad...

    But i mean....
Common, the potential in this country is far beyond a 8 team league.

    Its sad too see....
And experience as well when Ur a player in this country.

Ok so what if Adelaide did well this season,
Mark my words, Australian clubs will flop in AFC CL for years to come...

They are just not there yet...and wont be......
you are always quick to criticize football in australia and yet never come up with a logical legitimate explanation!

In all honesty no australia is not at the highest of standards in the world in producing quality footballers but they have made good progress and with the organization and professionalism in australian sport will progress faster than most asian countries just wait and see.

^^they're already higher than most of the Asian nations,,, they just need to get the hang of how you should play with Asian opposition. They learned a lot from the Asian Cup. Adelaide has been real good at this in the group stages and now they're in the Semi's.

I criticize its implementation of league structures.
        Which is hurting Australian soccer.

Do you know why, or let me ask you better yet.
Why do most Australian footballers play outside of Australia.

I know i know, more money.
But even at the most tender ages Australian's leave and go overseas.

Because the structure of Australian soccer is horrible.
A-League was a good step. But how long they have to go until they have a half decent league with 2 or 3 good leagues with Promotion & relegation.

Do you know how hard it is for a Australian teenager or any other kind of talented player to get into A-League ??...

If its not through AIS then Good luck mate..
I am being serious. This is how it is.

Or lets not even go to Victorian Premier League which is supposed to be 1 of the best Leagues in Australia Outside of A-League alongside NSW Premier League.

Its either Essendon Royals you cant get in if you are not Croatian.
Or South Melbourne or Oakleigh they strictly look to Greek boys.

I mean. Is this seriously not hurting our soccer..!!

And wait, we have Dandenong Thunder coming to Victorian Premier League next season. Oh yes. Yet another club only allowed if you are named Mohammed or Abbas... Goo have a look at their team list....You will understand the Irony.

And you think i might be kidding when i say regarding S.Melb or Essendon..
Yes, its strictly Croatian or Greek rules..

Even in State Leagues these matters occur...

I mean talented kids should definatly have a easier path towards A-League.
Australia has a fair share of em mate....

        Talent is here...
        They do have em...

But they are letting them leave.....

In the end i just don't like watchin it. It is so annoyin, there is barely any sound in the stadium. Only a little section make chants and the rest are silent and just clap. I know coz i go to every single one of Melbourne's home games.
IPL is like 10 times better but hopefully a-league can get bigger and better players soon

          Man Utd =
          Current EPL Champions
          Current European Champions
          Current World Champions

i agree with you australia is a shit place if you want to develop as a footballer because of all the politics that goes with it.

but still australia has made good progress in that they made it to the second round of the world cup and almost beat the eventual world champions, they have entered afc which is a good move for them and have established a new league with interesting prospects.

So things are going in the right direction and will take time if it will ever get right!

The way i see it the only reason they made the 2nd round was Guus Hiddink.
You cannot say it was their squad, or their players or star performances.

If lets say Graham was the coach in 2006, or even Pim.
No way they would of made 2nd round.

Nima, they had a magnificent World Cup.
              But still, lets not forget..

Guus Hiddink turns stone into Gold.
The man was a genius once again in 2006.

My example stands, only months before Guus took over, that same squad.
With Frank Farina. In the Confederations Cup..
Against the likes of Tunisia ...I dont think i need to remind you.

Great world cup, but 90% was Guus Hiddink.
And if you say no to that...
Then i have no idea what to reply..

Australia are going into a good direction.
I like having them in Asia.

But this coming World Cup qualifiers is where i think they have to really show their true character.

A Good World Cup ( All thanks to Guus ).
And then Asian Cup 2007 failure with the same squad.

You never know how to judge this Australia.
Thats why i don't really rate their World Cup performance so highly.

If they achieved that with any other coach. Then i would of bowed down to Australia.
Because we know, Guus, Before Australia & most recently after Australia he has once again turned stone into Gold.

I would dare to say, With Hiddink, Iran would of had a splendid World Cup too.
              But that's that....

Australia did well, they had a great squad.
But Hiddink's genius got them through.
Nothing had to do with Australia's reliance on talent or a specific player.

off course Hiddink was the mastermind behind the success but at the end of the day its the players that play on the park and not the coach so you have to give the team some credit.

All I know is I hate football in Australia and everything that goes with it. The league, coaches and the whole damn system.

                It just sucks.

A I said A-league is better in every sense from IPL whether it be facilities or just the quality of their football. however ipl is stronger as it produces more talents but again Australia's population is 1/4 of Iran

I dont agree on quality of football.
                      Thats bullshit.

Shayan, A-League is bloody boring mate...
                      What are you talking about.

If you think A-League is entertaining you need to go look at some real soccer.
An average Iranian player could go to Australia and shine..

                      And i mean AVERAGE..
Am talking about even Borhani could go down to Aussie Land and become top goalscorer.

It's much much better than an average Iranian game trst me. Watch some Sydney FC or Melbourne matches. They're quiet exciting at times unlike IPL where it's eighter pure Sh** or quiet excting like PP games.

This season i have watched A-League, I have also watched Iranian League.
I think, confidently i will say, IPL is better quality of soccer.

                          A-League offers nothing...
If they did not have their S.Americans that little excitement they even HAVE would not of been there...

Seriously, i do not know what you see in A-League.
Several matches in Iran that i have watched have been of very very high quality.

                          This season, last season...

                          Melbourne Victory & Sydney...
                          Baba give me a break..

I go past the Melbourne Victory training every day on my way to University.
I go to their home matches..

Only because the atmosphere in the stadium is good fun.
Other then that, the game is rather boring.

What matches are you watching in Australia.
                          Please tell me.

A-League makes me want to cancel my bloody Foxtel account..

People pay $39 a month to watch A-League.....

I would pay $50 a month to get the same quality broadcast for IPL games.

It's funny how you don't find it interesting
Yes the S.Americans make it very exciting too.
I only watched one game this season Sydney 3-0 Adelaide, it was quiet exciting.
Last season I also watched some matches and I really enjoyed the passing game and how they implement the basics of football and don't just kick the ball high from defense like some teams do in our league.

As I said IPL does have some very intersting matches too, just like PP-Mes this season or Sepahan-Bargh last season and many more. It's hard to say which one is better using >><<

Now how are you sitting behind your computer and telling me A-League is more entertaining then IPL after only watching 1 game is beyond me...

I thought maybe you were a constant viewer of the A-League, but now i just realize your crazy....
                              1 match...

Its kind of sad, how i love this game so much, i go to Melbourne Victory matches every home match.

Pitty we don't have a better league to enjoy really..
Sometimes i actually go to the stadium to socialize and nothing else.
