I wouldn't put much hopes on Saei. As the matter of fact, it was pure Partibazi that he was selected in front of the younger Yousef Karami. First, they were suppose to fight for qualification because one of them only could qualify but after numerous cancellations of fights because of Saie's injuries (!!!) they decided to send Saei insted of Karami and told people that Karami was injured !!!. Me myself love Saei but the truth is that he hasn't even an unbeatable record last two years. He has actually been beaten several times in diffrent competitions but anyway, we can just hope that he doesnt dissappoint us and give us a at least a medal.

Dear ekbatan the thing is nobody is 4th. There are 2 bronze medals given to 2guys. Therefore, no such 4th place. Hamid lost the bronze to the south korean dude and on the other side of the REPECHAGE (those who already lost once) The Armenian dude got the other bronze.

Judo is the same as wrestling (2 bronze medals).

Right on my friend. You are absolutely right and unfortunately this is the truth. It means you are following your stuff and not talking from your heart like most of our dear members here.

I have huge respect for Saei and he was chosen several times in the past the best tekwandokare donya. What I am sure about is the fact he is not our best athlete at this time around. I wish him all the best but I can bet he will not get gold.

The sad thing is that:

1) Sourian had questionable calls agaisnt him vs the Russia who went on to win the Gold medal.

2) Sourian tied Park from Korea Rep. in the Bronze Medal match, but he medal was awared to Park and Sourian

I agree with you man, Karami is younger and better.
But Hadi has experience, and of course an extreme amount of skill. Lets hope he can pull this off!

Sourian had a much bigger chance at gold that Saie has. Saie is not in top form and he is only here because he won the gold last time, he didnt win his qualifier matches.

I can't believe what am reading....how can you guys say we arent going to win medals....have you guys watched the olympics before??? In Athens we won 3 medals just on the last 2 days....our free style wrestlers are some of the best and can def. win some medals....a few of them have already won medals in Athens....its just that you guys arent familiar with them.....If we want to do better than we did in Athens (which is really hard to do) then we have to win 2 medals that we have gave up this olympics....1 is from Rezazadeh and the other one from Karami...both who will not compete....so if we can pull of a miracle and get a win in Judo and Discus throw then we can def. improve from Athens. It is too early to make predictions lets wait till the olympics are done to start criticizing.....

y cant both karami and saei be in it? because that was the case in 2004 and they both got medals....but my second ? is maybe karami was sent instead of saei because i was looking up taekwondo athletes from iran on nbcolympics site because i wanted to c if the iranian girl is there but the only athlete listed was karami saying how he is looking for gold in beijing.

Who is criticizing? We are talking about expectations and reality. But I guess your too young for that. I mean you are 18-19 years old and experienced at highest 2 olympics so it's not so easy.

That is where you are wrong....you are talking about expectations but when was the last time we won a medal in Greco Roman Wrestling??? 1972. Nothing is expected if you havent won it before....We have only won medals in Freestyle wrestling, Weightlifting and Taekwondo all 3 sports have not begun yet. Some ppl are criticinz the fact we have not won medals yet in boxing judo etc etc. But we have never won medals in those....so how is that expectation and reality?? You dont need to bring in my age if your the one that needs to be doing research.
