it's not how it works.
The group "A" & "B" thing is just bullshit.
Group "B" is where they put the guys with no chance. Thats why they go first because they want to keep the best for last and more excitement.
What happens now is the Iranian guy waits three hours, watches Group A demolish his record and falls to the 8th spot overall between two groups.
group A is about to start lifting. it was a mistake that he went for 238 from 230. he should have done 235 first, which he probably would have converted. that might cost him. He did a lot beter than what was expected of him. i would say he has a good future because he never expected to b the #1 guy with rezazadeh bein in his weight class.
god im so mad looking at these guyz lift, i realize how easily rezazadeh could have beat these guyz, it would ahve been a joke for him. god damm y couldnt he jst do it haha
man im f-ckin confused with these stupid rules on wrestling and weighlifting
can someone summarize PLEASE wtf happened??? does he have a chance for medal or is he done??
There are pretty much 18 lifters divided into two groups: A and B. Think of the lifters in group B as second division lifters compared to those in group A who are the best of the best. Group B lifts several hours before Group A and the total score puts them (Group B lifters) in the order of overall ranks - In which Sharifi ranked first. The Group A lifters, who at the time "B" lifted had a score of 0 (because they had not lifted yet) finally lifted, got the best overall scores and sent Sharifi down to 8th overall place. Therefore Sharifi won nothing.
