Phelps Hands Down.
Going 8 for 8 and breaking 3 or 4 world records not to mention a couple of Olympic records is BEYOND normal
He was stunning physically aswell as psychologically.
Truely an American Sensation.

I'm proud to say i have met the man himself right before he went to the Olympics!

His training facility at University of Michigan is around 8-10 minutes from my house.

no he's not, i read about his diet and stuff, he eats like 15 000 calories per day, and the way he's built is perfect for swimming, big hands and huge feet, it's like he was born to be a swimmer

Phelps, He simply has won more medals and has set more WR.

Interesting thread - I wish you would have removed the 'both of them' and 'I don't know' options to get a more clear stat on the subject (and force people to choose just one).

Either way, it's a tough one but I go with Phelps simply due to the amount of medals he won.

But christ...Bolt and his world record runs...it's a real tight one as far as I'm concerned, but the nod goes to Phelps.
