1- with our gov't we'll never progress in sports, we actually REGRESS

2- Olympics is only successful for rich countries who spend alot of money

3- the pointing system isn't fair because some sports like swimming and gymnastics, a country can rack up shit load of medals and many other sports, theres just 1 medal

4- Its also unfair that alot of athletes just get 1 match and if they lose, its over, i understand time is a major factor but athletes should get at least 2 chances before getting eliminated. They work so hard to make it and all they get is 1 chance.

Good thread.

1) An honour to see Phelps win 8 medals. Something we may never see ever again.

2) Usain Bolt was a phenomenon. He made running look so easy and the passion he showed after winning is what olympics is all about.

3) Sad not to see our Rezazadeh at the olympics. He could have become a legend if he has won 3 consecutive gold medals, dont think we will see his WR broken for some time though. Story of the guy that won the gold instead was nice though.

4) Shed some tears seeing Hadi win the Tae Kwon Do and watching his celebrations. Made me very proud.

5) Happy to see Australia do so well for a country of only 20 million.

i had surgery and was bed ridden for the 2 weeks of the olympics. Without it i rekon i would have gone crazy.
