germany has won euro cup 1996,
runners up worldcup 2002,
3rd place worldcup 2006,
runners up euro 2008.

as for spain,, let me try to remember...

we were talking about german national team and spanish national team simply because the national teams are players from the same country (or atleast developed in the same country's clubs like klose, podolski, or whoever)
while clubs are foreign players developed in foreign countires clubs represeting a team.

Funny how a German supporter compares Spain to Germany.

Spain have been underachievers, they are obviously a much more talented side than Germany, if you disagree with that you have personal problems. The important thing is that in the last 12 years both countries have won 1 Euro cup each. With Spain beating Germany in the finals of the event.

The Spanish league has always been superior to Germany, everyone knows that.

Germany is a very technically gifted country, but in terms of player talent Spain is better.
