benayoun got a bump during the game and left on a stretcher, it was clear he wasnt 100% anyways so maybe they should rest him (israel end their campaign v.s. switzerland while greece end it v.s. luxembourg )
for all the football fans who like young talents... Ben Sahar is going to be a big-timer
I predict a 2-0 or 3-1 in Crete, one thing Greece did better and pretty much the only thing Greece does well is using their physical strength to close off attackers and stop playsGo Cows!

alright lets stop worrying now
greece beat israel 2-1 in crete and the fans let them have it!! the standings now look like this:
1)Greece 13
2)Swiss 13
3)Latvia 10
4)Israel 9
greece plays swiss next match as latvia play israel (home), a greece victory (or even but hopefully not swiss victory) could open the gap for israel if they beat latvia..but a tie would virtually end their ambitions..israel also plays their last game of the campaign in switzerland..yikes..
..if greece however do beat the swiss, our next matches are latvia, moldova, luxembourg...consider us in the WC lolGo Cows!

highlights for the game, unfortunately they dont show the 6 seperate occasions where the greeks and israelis were talking hard smack to eachother..
there was also a banner put up saying "free palestine!" by the crete fans
but makes me wonder..hmm..greece comes out and says they oppose israel's crimes in palestine...the home game is switched to crete..an island famous for military bases and some sneaky business..i wonder why lolGo Cows!

The Turkcell Super League season started this weekend on a violent note when Sivasspor's Israeli striker Pini Balili was violently tackled by Trabzonspor's Egyptian defender Ayman Abdelaziz.

Trabzonspor were leading one-null (Ersen Martin, 85') on their home turf when Abdelziz tackled Balili. Balili attempted to retaliate amidst protests from infuriated fans of both clubs over the violent tackle, protests which only intensified after the referee decided to give Abdelaziz a yellow card and not the harsher red card which Sivasspor fans thought his violence on the pitch warranted.
Dozens of Sivasspor fans stormed the pitch and the referee ran for cover in the dressing room, from where he declared the game prematurely terminated.
Turkish sports Websites said this was not the first incident in which the Israeli striker, formerly of Hapoel Tel Aviv and the Israeli national team, collided with an Egyptian player: In September 2006 Balili clashed with Konyaspor defender Abdel Zaher al-Saka. Balili later claimed the background for Saka's attack against him was the Second Lebanon War.
Sivasspor President Mecnun Otyakmaz put the blame on the crowd: "We have injured players because of the unruly behavior of the fans."
The Turkish Football Federation was positively considering giving Sivasspor a technical three-null victory and severely punishing Trabzonspor.
