A Wigan fan in the Egyptian forum sent us this message and program scans:
Latics are of course doing well this season and Zaki is a HUGE hit. He's a real big favourite - he's strong, knows where the goal is and is scoring them as well. Top scorer in the Premier League - we can't ask for better than that! "Zaki zaki zaki zaki....." At the end of the game we even play "Walk like an Egyptian" by The Bangles over the tannoy.
    ....
He's certainly fitted in well. I'm not sure about his English - last Sunday's programme did a feature on him. It says "His English is still a bit sketchy but he's taking lessons already".

Steve Bruce subbed Zaki off on the 80th minute when they were still 0-0 with Middlesbrough. Believe it or not Middlesbrough went on to score on the 90th minute to win 1-0. Y the hell do u take off ur leading scorer when the match is still locked at 0-0. That's the 1st mistake ive seen Bruce do which i really hate

yet he still has very good reflexes and reactions. He is able to get around players and dribble very easily, very good for a big sized bloke like him.

I heard he had a very average game. Steve Bruce defended him by saying he played injured. Zaki will be flying to Cairo to join the Pharaohs for their World Cup qualifier against Djibouti. I don't expect any of the Euro-based players to actually play though. In fact, it would be retarded if they did play.

Not too bad considering he wasn't supposed to play because of a calf injury. Here's the second goal: http://www.d1g.com/video/show/?id=2383999

awesome stuff...its funny how players like shevchenko and other strikers cant adapt to the EPL but here comes a pharoah and shows them how to play!!..im proud of this guy..lead by example...good strikers dont only come from france, brasil, argentina, etc..

this guy's a beast. I loved him from the time I watched his first game in the African Cup of Nations.

one of my favorite players now definitely.
