That's what has surprised me everytime i look at the EPL results, these 4 weeks i have seen Mido & Zaki's name on the score sheet every game.
And ive just thought to myself, Wow, Eqypt has a great attack...
Including Zidan that is.
Zaki & Mido are having great season's so far in the EPL..
Now, Mido signing for Wigan would be a huge move. an all Eqyptian attack will be great..
The only thing that i envy of other countries is their strikers.
Only if Iran had yet another Ali Daei....

Bro you sound like Egyptian fans from about 8 or 9 years ago. For years what we really lacked were strikers. The only reliable one we had was Hossam Hassan (similar to Iran with Ali Daei for years), and Egypt would often play with only one striker as a result. Egypt has always been a country of midfielders. Even our forwards and defenders had always been better midfielders than they were at their respective positions. For years we'd often draw and sometimes lose matches in which we absolutely dominated possession and scoring chances. This striker thing is pretty new. I think our clubs opening up to European offers helped changed things.

Winning the African Cup is all good, but I'm really hoping for the team to finally be able to showcase itself at the World Cup this time.

I guess that one hasn't reached the East coast yet. No, it doesn't sound as offensive when you group yourself with same person you called a camel. i hope zaki can get plenty of goals this season..but even if he slows down (since hes scored against lower quality EPL sides), hed still have a successful rookie season if he scores 12-13 goals in the league..hopefully a couple more too in the division cups..

as for a partnership with mido..i dont think mido would fit in well on the team really..and there are better alternatives for 6m pounds, im not doubting his skill..but he seems to bring a hot attitude wherever he goes (in not a long period hes been at quite a few clubs..for short tenures too)
