1) The underdogs (i.e. the newly promoted teams) have been performing very well against higher profile teams and top teams in each league. Not just newly promoted teams but also those teams which were in the middle/bottom of the table the previous few seasons. The most significant ones are Bologna and Genoa beat AC Milan, Palermo beat roma, Hull City beating Fulham and Newcastle, Stoke City beating Aston Villa, Fulham beating Arsenal, West Bromich beating West Ham, Numancia beating Barcelona, Deportivo la Coruna beating Real Madrid (ok we all know the story behind this one). Even when the smaller teams didn't beat the bigger teams they still held a very close scoring line and/or had an equal opportunity to win the game. Ex. Barcelona draw with Santander, or Real Madrid and Numancia is a goal scoring rally. It's so weird I don't remember it ever being like this. I know its early in the season and of course the expected teams will always finish at the top but surely its never been like this.
2) There are some AMAZING goals being scored in almost every game. Every game you turn on to watch has a stunning goal so good enough that they could each potentially be in the top 100 goals of all time. Don't believe me? There's always footytube.
This just means football has just become much more entertaining to watch and enjoy, even as an outsider (like cricket fans or white ppl)
