    Middle East all-star team

    Goalkeepers
Two reliable guys that rise to the occasion under pressure. Hadary gets the nod given his overall experience and performance in big games. Demirel is the odd man out because he's somewhat erratic and temperamental under pressure.

GK Essam El-Hadary, EGYPT (FC Sion, SWI)
GK Ali Al-Habsi, OMAN (Bolton Wanderers, ENG)

    Defenders
Big, powerful centerbacks along with some versatile players that can play on the sides or in the middle. Left out the aging, limited Suleimani. Also eliminated the 6'2" Fathalla from the original list as he's a bit inexperienced despite his potential.Midfielders
The midfield is the strength of the Middle East's backbone teams (Egypt, Iran, Turkey), so this was the hardest area to reduce. I left out Hossam Ghaly since he hasn't played in a while. I cut Hosny Abd Rabbo, the 2008 African Nations Cup MVP, as his form has dropped. I'm also pissed off he chose Dubai over his Spain offers. Shojaei was the third man dropped. This is a good mix of reliable stalwarts and versatile veterans that excelled in Europe. Also some playmakers with deft touches.Forwards
Talented, youthful mix, some playing at the highest levels. A good mix of speedy dribblers low to the ground and bigger, more powerful strikers. Left out the aging, out of form Hashemian.Starting lineups

Only if I call-up any Bahrainis, Emiratis, Qataris, or Kuwaitis to the squad

This is really cool, great work bro. I'd take Younis Mahmoud out though he's been useless ever since the Asian Cup.

The Iraqi Roberto Carlos, Bassim Abbas, should really be in the list. He's the best LB in Asia IMO.

I haven't seen him play. Any ME all-start team would be in need of LB depth, so he'd probably make the roster.

Ando is more of a DM as far as I'm aware. Shojaei is an attacking mid-fielder. The list already had plenty of the latter and not enough of the former . It's not necessarily a reflection of who's better overall.

So then we should have a dream team for the refs to huh, any tips of non bribed refs?

We can call the Dream Team of the players for FC Grassroll All Stars..

I wont include any Iranians as i dont se us as middle easters, i hate that word cuz i connect it only with arabs and also with the western way of seing that part of the world.. I woldnt put a iranian with in the same squad with a arab, it would look like we are the same people.. The aussies can take our place in that team instead

Since i was a kid, iv allwayz said Iran is in Asia, not freakin "middle east", i donate name that to the arabs, they can have that name..

Turkey?? Alpaay, Sas and Unsal ??
We cant have them, look at what they did to that poor man Rivaldo..
                  .....

                              no Hamit Altintop?

he's easily one of the 5 best "Middle Easterners"

Kick Mevlut Erdinc out...he's a nobody (for right now)

Altintop is an amazing player on the best team in the BundesLiga...I think he could honestly be not just top 5...but realistically the best player in the ME...
