never been anything like that in the nrl!!
And there never will be. Sydney ppl dont appreciate sport like Melbourne do.
The two seimi-finals in AFL had 75,000 plus for each game.
The two NRL semi fianls had about 30,000 for each game.

hmmmmmmmmm then they think they would deserve the big football games over Melbourne. LOL

Mate if u had of said Soccer, Hockey, Basketball or anything else is for soosools but you said AFL is for soosools so u obviously have no idea about sports.

And its a crappy attitude to just aim to get a rise out of other people cause u r bored.

Stick to your rugby brother and ill stick to my AFL

lol when u go anywhere all they talk about is NRL, dont get how u say AFL is better. rugby has been around way longer and is more recognised. but dont like either of them that much. Stick with the real football.

Where is anywhere you go? if u mean Australia, AFL is the biggest sport in this country. That's a fact. I'm not just saying it.

Also AFL football celebrated its 150th year this year so its been around for some time.

I like the real football (soccer) better 10 fold but AFL is still a game of skill and physical endurance. Some players run up to 18 km in a game. I don't think there is any other sport in the world where someone will run that much.

NRL is more exciting to watch. Lots of tackles and fights. AFL is just simply kicking the ball through the middle of those sticks

Since I've been here, I've enjoyed watching NRL more than AFL. Also I agree with Ali, many people I know, talk more about rugby than AFL.
It's becoming less popular these days.

Man seriously..with everything u r saying you are losing credability.
plz dont spread lies so that the non australians believe something that is not true.

First of all you live in an NRL loving city so therefore more ppl will talk about NRL then AFL.

Secondly..."Simply" kicking the ball thru the sticks is a funny comment. Rugby is simply moving the ball between your legs and then running forward 10m and occasionally someone finds a gap and runs thru it.

Thirdly...AFL must be getting less popular when it had over 100,000 ppl at a game for the first time in 20 years. Most teams have over 30,000 members. NRL cant get that many ppl to a semi final.

If you are going to argue and make statements, plz say something that is credible.

                        ^^
If NRL stadium had that capacity i'm sure that many people would turn up for games involving Manli, Storm, Broncos etc.
You're just getting to emotional about this because ur team won

Everyone can see with their own eyes, how much more media pays attention to NRL than AFL.
it's still not the finals but all the TV is talking about it.
Anyway man, let's leave it at that.

They are both good physical sports, AFL is more endurance as u said and NRL is more like endurance, strengths and guts.

I prefer NRL but to argue that it's the most successful code is false..... The NRL really is in shambles.

Obviously ppl in Sydney will prefer NRL as it is the biggest sport their but to argue that NRL is the biggest sport in the country is naive and to also say AFL is a sport for soosools when they have such crunching tackles and suck physical skill is again the words of someone in denial.

And saying NRL is bigger then AFL when in both NRL games over the weekend the stadium was half full with 30,000 ppl and then in the 2 corresponding AFL games the week before there was an average of 75,000 ppl, is again the sign of someone in denial.

Do i need to mention the spectacle of the AFL Grand Final at one of the best stadiums in the world...The MCG compared to that of the NRL final?

And the best comment of the thread...........Afl is becoming less popular. LOL some teams are reaching 50,000 for memberships and the average attendance of games is higher then that of most football leagues in Europe including the EPL.
