FIFA World Player of the Year Fact!

C.Ronaldo will be going for the award later this year and I was just wanting to mention a fact. An EPL player has never ever won the title, they have come 2nd and 3rd many times, mostly Henry at Arsenal and Lampard at Chelsea.
I think its rediculous how no one from EPL has every won it, the best or possibly (equal 1st) best league in the world and there has never been a winner. Hopefully Ronaldo will break the drought and be the 1st winner, if not, then this has been match fixed and there are Italians on the board

why should he win it, when Ronaldo or zidane or rivaldo are clearly better than him. and henry didnt win because ronaldiniho was AMAZING those 2 years, he was scoring bicycle kicks and getting past entire teams in most games
another thing is that fifa world player isnt only based on club performance, its actually based ALOT more on international performance.


also i dont really care about fifa world player award. because they compeletly ignore players from south american leagues, which are just as good as euro teams

I agree 100% with everyone u have said. Shearer is EPL's top scorer with 260 goals, he deserved to have won it, but he barely played for England but he couldnt stop scoring for Newcastle. C.Ronaldo has done everything this year, he has gone from scoring 42 goals in the league (the most ever from a mid-fielder), scoring the most goals in the CL 2008 and scoring in the final and he played reasonably good for Portugal in the Euro, despite playing with an ankle injury.

Barcelona still lost and didnt score a single goal for 180 minutes. United went on to win the league and in Europe. and where did Barcelona end up ? 3rd place.

You need to do something significant and win something significant to be World Player of the Year. Then again, the FIFA one is a joke. Its all about the Ballon d'Or
