mainly because its not a balanced team.
ur team is totally weak aerially specially upfront (and even in midfield gerrard being the only exception) and ur 2 sides with gerrard and iniesta lack speed and width both.

haji, barca has henry and etoo who can win aerial battles and maintain possession due to their strong physique upfront. having 2 shorty lightweights who fall down with the slightest of touches is not the best of combos.

also, barca doesnt play a central midfielder like gerrard on the side

1)sergio ramos had an average euro tournament and became even worse after that.
so that means in the year of 2008, he has been mediocre to poor for atleast 4 -5 months that is almost half of the year 2008!!
the year 2008 has been sergio ramos worst year by far.

HE WASNT EVEN SELECTED IN THE 23 MEN SQUAD OF THE EURO TOURNAMENT INSPITE OF BEING PART OF THE TEAM THAT WON THE TOURNAMENT AND WHEN 9 PLAYERS FROM SPAIN WERE CHOSEN FOR THE SQUAD!! THAT SHOULD TELL U SOMETHING!! DO U KNOW WHO WERE CHOSEN FOR FULL BACKS?? bosingwa and LAHM!!
and frankly, bosingwa has cleared chelsea's RB problems and that crap paulo ferreria. he also had a great performance in euro with portugal.

on the other hand, philip lahm has been on top form and consistent every year, including this one for both germany and bayern and is still arguably the best LB in the world, in the eyes of many, both bayer and non bayern fans, german and non german fans.
all u have to do is read some international forums/articles to see for urself people's opinion.

2)i could have chosen altintop or schweinsteiger if i wanted to be biased, or even ballack for CM and gerrard for RM, both of whom are my fav players, but instead, i went with lampard and ronaldo FOR CM and RM, none of whom i really like, but have been on amazing form this year. i also picked torres from spain cos i think he deserved it.
