Iran's tennis player Arasalan Mohammadi has entered the quarterfinals of the international Junior Tennis Tournament held in Nairobi, Kenya.
The 17-year-old Iranian athlete managed to join the Men's singles last eight after defeating his Egyptian rival 2-0 (6-3, 6-2) on Tuesday.
Mohammadi is scheduled to clash with an Indian tennis player on Saturday to storm into the semifinals of the event.
But another Iranian tennis player Kiarash Souri was not as lucky and lost 2-0 (6-4, 7-5) to his African opponent in the Men's singles division.
In the Men's doubles, the Iranian pair Arasalan Mohammadi and Kiarash Souri will play against the duo from Uganda and Burundi.
