Other Brazilians, such as Adriano, returned to Brazilian football to rediscover their top form before heading back to Europe. But Ronaldo insists that he is looking forward to his latest challenge, and is hoping to make it permanent.
According to reports, Corinthians will organize a high-profile friendly match with a top European club, most probably Real Madrid, where Ronaldo will likely make his official Corinthians debut. The match is expected to take place on the 17th of January, in Sao Paulo.
Finally, Ronaldo stated that he wants to "return to his all-time best" and that he intends to be the top goal-scorer of the Paulista State Championship next year.

Too bad. I was waiting for him to join Arsenal and then Tottenham. I mean he has already played for both Barca and Real Madrid + Inter and AC MilanWe thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

Ronaldo Officially Unveiled By Corinthians
Brazilian superstar Ronaldo was officially unveiled as the new signing of Corinthians, and the former World Footballer of the Year affirmed that he still has plenty to offer to the world of football...
During his official presentation as a Corinthians player, Ronaldo explained that signing for the club is "a great challenge" and he is "confident of achieving success."
"I know that my return won't be easy, but for the sake of Corinthians I will achieve success," said Ronaldo.
Ronaldo, who has been inactive since last February, when he suffered a serious injury to his left knee in an Italian Serie A match, was unsure whether he would ever return to the football field. However, after a long struggle he is finally ready to return.
"I didn't die for the football world, but I have to demonstrate this on the field. I have already overcome several difficult obstacles, and I hope to do the same this time as well," he affirmed.
The 32-year-old expressed his delight at having signed for such a "big club", who are supported by the masses.
"I'm very happy to be one more member of this group of crazies" (the Corinthians fans), who are "loyal" supporters.
After having adandoned his country fourteen years ago, to find success in Europe with PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, Ronaldo stated, "it is an honour to return to Brazil. I only played here with Cruzeiro, and now I have been presented with a great opportunity, that the incredible fans of this club have given me."
Ronaldo is likely to debut with his new club in the first round of the Paulista State Championship on the 21st of February. Beforehand, however, Corinthians intend to set up a high-profile friendly match with a top European club, that could well be Spanish champions Real Madrid.
