Milad, give it a rest bro seriously - arguments are getting lame and it's the same thing over and over again. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEE grow up just a bit.

As for Amauri, i've seen him play 5 full games, so I'd like to think my judgment means something.

He's a splendid player. No doubt. Brazil or Italy would both be lucky to have him.
We thank and support Mr.Kamran Delan for many years of dedication and service to Iranian Football Community.

If and when Amauri gets called to the Italian national team, I am sure it is because he deserves it.

When a player gets picked to play for Juventus, that means he is good enough to play for Italy. Ranieri and Lippi are not coaches who mess around. When they say they have spotted talent, that means they have spotted talent.

If anything, the least he will do by being available is to increase the competition for spots in the national team. This leads to an extra incentive for everyone to perform better. All Lippi has to do is call him up to the NT once.

well dont judge by the team donadoni put together....he sucked and didnt know how to put a team together...in euro for example he was still testing players and different formations...lol...4 games, 4 different line ups and formations. As far as a striker goes, italy plays as a team, just like the world cup so they're not a team to rely on 1 superstar to carry them, they all chip in. And actually thats what all good teams are like nowdays, they have their big stars but they play as a team...like spain in euro for example...their best player was Xavi who's not even a striker. So im not concerned about a striker, i want a good team.

ROME, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Brazil coach Dunga has said he intends to call up Amauri and avoid the risk of losing the Juventus striker to Italy.

Amauri is applying for an Italian passport and, as things stand, he would be eligible to play for the world champions when it comes through because he has never represented his homeland.

The 28-year-old has said he would like to play for Italy, where he has spent almost all of his senior career, if he continues to be overlooked by Brazil.

Azzurri boss Marcello Lippi has said he will consider him when he becomes eligible for selection.

“I’m ready to call up Amauri as long as he does not demand a (regular) starting place,” Dunga told Wednesday’s La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It would be better for him if he enters on tip-toes. Everyone wants Amauri in Brazil but if the lad gets his first match wrong, he’d be destroyed the day after.”

Amauri has been in impressive form since joining Juve from Palermo in the close season, scoring 11 goals in Serie A this term.

If Dunga is good to his word, he could play his first international match against Italy, as fate has it. Brazil will play the world champions in a friendly at London’s Emirates Stadium on Feb. 10.

Dunga said he has been irritated by statements made by Amauri’s agent to the Brazilian press demanding he be given a regular place.

“Not even Pele demanded a starting place in the Selecao,” he said. “Amauri should ask Kaka and Ronaldinho, two Ballon d’Or winners, if they have ever demanded a starting place.” (Reporting by Paul Virgo; Editing by Martin Petty)
