Question for you guys about KIMBO SLICE; what is the big deal about him? he's not good and he gets his ass beat, but yet he's popular. I dont get how some people become famous in this country for no reason. Is it cuz he has the look of a scary black guy or what? is looks what gets people attention as opposed to real skills?

I think because he's so scary looking and he was beatin people up, with no emotion, in backyards in the ghetto. That's why a lot of "real" MMA fans ("real" because these are your so called professionals) were against him because it was as you said, his looks got him popular not his skills. He wasn't so skilled in one aspect of his MMA game and he didn't do shit. So as a result, Dana White kicked him out of the UFC.

Kimbo only has limited boxing skills, dude is nearly 40...he was only bought to the UFC because of his popularity of internet fighting, fans were curious to see if he can cut it against real fighters in a real division. Dana knew that he was garbage but like any smart business man he used him to cash in on his popularity before it disappeared.
