Yea, I have respect for both of them...of course I am bigger Shogun fan...but wow...how obvious was this fight? Lyoto did jack shit...he had a few punches here and there...but Shogun took out those legs...messed him up...this is an embarrassment to the UFC! I mean, Joe Rogan and the other judge were calling Shogun's name the whole time...cz he was giving all the shots!Comment

I thought it was a draw, cause many of those leg kicks made more noise than damage, but if Shogun won I thought it would be by a hair. I was surprised that Lyoto got a unanimous decision though...
By the way can Joe Rogan STFU PLEASE, his commentary is idiotic at times and he was so excited by Shogun that even when Machida would land a punch he would be too busy sucking Shogun's balls to notice.

joe rogan is a SOB. Machida landed some damn nice shots and he never mentioned it!!! even when it was obvious.
he gives fans like us the wrong idea.
it was very close and could have gone either way but you need to impress more if you wanna steal someone's belt away and also shogun needed to go for head kicks or something rather than kickin machida's legs the whole time which I found kinda boring.
most likely there will be a rematch.Comment

yeah I agree too that Shogun fought very smart and was very patient and that he wore down Machida more than anyone else ever had. Shogun definitely won the last round for me too, and you could see Machida getting undisciplined at the end. The problem was that Machida did most of his damage to the upper torso of Shogun, while Shogun did his to the lower body of Machida, so it was a question of which the judges felt were more damaging or worthy of points. I really felt that Machida won the 3rd round clearly and Shogun won the 5th with the other 3 rounds being so darn close that it was a draw for me. Definite re-match in the offing btwn these two though, and now that Machida has seen Shogun's best shot, I think that he will adjust accordingly...if Shogun beats him in the re-match like he did today then I would be really impressed, because it looked like he really caught Lyoto off-guard today with his strategy.Originally posted by tashakor View PostYea, I noticed Rogan was pretty biased lool
