thabeet did good this 1st quarter, he gets so many min and so many chances, no wonder he's progressing...

unlike haddadi who seems to have lost his confidence and looks more nervous than ever on the court he played last 2.5min of the quarter but failed to make an impact, had a stupid turn over

i really hope they trade him to any team in the nba, i think a real organization would actually help their players develop instead of holding them back and not rewarding him even when he does good

they need 3rd string centers just in case their main centers get injured, just like how gasol is not playing now

Thabeet got into foul trouble after 12min but the coach chose Arthur to play the rest and Haddadi missed a 30min PT chance.

he needs to get traded to warriors, they have no center and he can bring alot of crowds since there are so many iranians in bay are

Warriors already have Biedrins, Turiaf, Randolph, etc. His best situation would be to back up Yao in Houston.

BTW, Thabeet is an absolute shot blocking machine. I can see him averaging 4-5 blocks a game in a few years after he gets a bit of experience. All that "bust" talk by people was way too premature.

he blocks shorter players and his good stats are against teams with no centers. He's slowly picking it up though

None said he was a bad blocker, even back then when he was playing bad he used to get 2-3 blocks per game, hell he had a triple double with blocks once in college.

And no one ever said he was offensively gifted either when he was drafted #2 overall. He was drafted because of his defensive potential to be another Dikembe Mutombo, and now he is beginning to show that the experts were right when they predicted he had those types of capabilities due to his freakish physical gifts.

When you have a 7'2 monster with that type of athleticism who can guard the rim and give great help defense to the rest of the team, that can help even a mediocre team go far. Just look how far Mutombo and Iverson took the 76ers in their prime, all the way to the finals against the Lakers.

Whether Thabeet ever reaches that potential is yet to be determined. Drafting him at #2 over guys like Evans/Curry may end up being a huge mistake when it's all said and done. However, if anyone tries to convince you that he is a bust after limited minutes during his rookie season, you obviously shouldn't take it too seriously. Keep in mind the guy just started playing organized basketball a few years ago. His ceiling is HUGE, compared to Haddadi who is solid, but will never be a game changer in the NBA. At this point in the season with the Grizzlies playoff hopes over, any coach who would give Haddadi minutes over Thabeet should be fired for their stupidity.

30min out of total 48min a game is considered limited?

As I have said earlier he should go to Suns since Amare is gonna be an FA and probably leaving so Suns will be in need of a legit big guy.

Do you know how many times he's played 30 minutes or more in a game this season? 0.

The most he's played in a game was 29:43. Out of 57 games, do you know how many times he's played more than 25 minutes? 4. To average 11 minutes a game for the season may be the most limited minutes ever given to a #2 overall pick in NBA history. There is still a ways to go before anyone can truly judge this guy accurately.

then how come the same cant be said about haddadi? he averages only a few min.

thabeet's had plenty of time, he's more like a power forward that is tall, his rebounding is very mediocre and NO offensive game, only good thing is maybe blocking, when they attack, they wont even pass the ball to thabeet unless if he's wide open for a dunk, that already limits the team alot. I cant ever see him being a starter in NBA, he's at best a back up. He just doenst know the game, compare the way haddadi sets screens and dishes out assists to this guy...
