To Toronto
Shawn Marion
Marcus Banks
Cash Considerations
To Miami
Jermaine O'Neal
Jamario Moon
Conditional Draft Pick (2010)
from what i have read, the draft pick has some clauses attached to it. if raptors make the playoffs next year, they will give the pick to miami, but if the raptors dont the pick will be lottery protected and a 2nd round draft pick will be given instead. now if raptors dont make playoffs, the pick will be given to Miami whenever they do make playoffs (lottery protected through 2015). So Miami can possibly get 2 picks out of this deal.
personally i think this is a good trade for both teams. apparently jamario will start in miami at the 3 and so will JO. im not a fan of jamario (doesnt play smart at all). marion is exactly what raptors needed, a tough defender and player on both ends. JO is what the heat needed, a low post presence.
marcus banks will be a solid player off the bench. a shoot-first PG who has good range and good 3 ball, so he will fit in nicely off the bench, adding another shooter for the raptors.
