TEHRAN, March 1 (MNA) -- Iranian diving team will take part in the First Asian Youth Games, scheduled for July 2-9, 2009, in Singapore.
Some 34 divers will participate in the four-day training camp, starting on Monday at the Azadi swimming pool.
About 1,000 young athletes aged between 14 and 18 from 44 countries are to participate in the Asian Youth Games.
Top juniors will be there to compete in sports including diving, athletics, swimming, shooting, table tennis, sailing, basketball and bowling.
The event is seen as practice ahead of the first Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Singapore in 2010.
