    its completely related.
    Your logic :
The english teams progressed because they are lucky >>>> Liverpool progressed at the expense of RM >>>> RM are unlucky

    My response:

I can tell you one thing, there is nothing unlucky about losing 6-0 on aggregate.

Plus, i remember having a specific discussion with you a while ago about luck, and you made it clear that you don't believe in luck when it comes to football. i wish i could find that thread.

edit: i seemed to have misread you post. you said 2 of them on luck. apologies offered.

but it still doesn't expalin why you've changed your stance on luck

i didnt read your post because its impossible that you got it if your post is that long. since you still didnt get it i will make it basic for you:

i was talking about english teams getting lucky. i never said madrid got unlucky. so do random comparisons all you want on your own time, but i am not going to read random irrelevant comparisons. have a good night.

EDIT- because you have proven to be an intelligent member in the past, i read your post. i would be glad to discuss the element of luck in football with you. but its irrelevant to what i said because you are randomly bringing RM into it. so if you want, now we can have a discussion about the element of luck in football. but please dont quote me on something and start talking about something irrelevant.

Ok, well since you were talking about enlish teams, can i bring Liverpool into it? Were they lucky also, or is it just Arsenal and Man U?

if you read my previous posts you would know. but since you didnt for some reason, no liverpool didnt need luck to advance. arsenal and man u did though.

            ^^^

if you wanna talk about luck check out Roma's goal...extremely lucky pass...oh and Man U - Inter didnt seem too out of the ordinary, I can even say Ronaldo wasnt diving and was just being butchered..

.maybe if Zlatan knew how to run he could help Inter out..

if three go through to the semis that would be three years in a row.

if one goes to the final that would be five years in a row.
very intersting, that highlights and cements english football as the best in europe and the world for that matter.

watch the games. the teams were overall equal. but only one advanced. as i said, if it was not luck it was microscopic differences such as one second of make or break by 1 player. thats the problem with team sports. too much luck. individual sports are 95% skill.

so everygame where one team isn't obviously dominant is determined by luck? What about perseverance, endurance, being clutch?

Our players were BETTER at putting the ball in the back of the net, as were the Man U fans. Our players were better at aiming and keeping calm, so we finished them off in penalties.

It has nothing to do with luck. A smarter member such as yourself should know that in a world where every action has an opposite or equal reaction, there is not room for luck.

as i said, either luck or microscopic differences. one player making a decision/missing/scoring in one second can change the result even if a team dominate for 90 minutes. thats messed up.

but you cant just say man u was better in putting the ball in the back of the goal. sometimes its just luck that someone scores or gets past the defense or w.e. luck is anything that is not planned and just happens. just like a shot is lucky if you dont aim and score. so it might seem like its skill, but luck plays a bigger part than you think.

The Roman-born midfielder was extremely disappointed at having been eliminated on penalties...http://www.goal.com/en/news/1716/cha...xit-to-arsenal

true, but how come you idiots celebrated the world cup as if you deserved to win?
