i never said that he does not pass. He looks goal first, pass second. If you put Torres in the midfield, he would not excel as much as other strikers such as rooney and vpr.

he's a striker and the question asked was who is the best striker in the epl, not "who is the best striker who could also play midfielder" in the epl. you dont necessarily have to have the ability to play any other position in order to be a complete striker

by play midfielder i was trying to point out that a complete striker needs to have the ability to create chances for his teammates LIKE a midfielder can.

Strikers player upfront and sometimes behind other forwards.

the job of the attacking midfielder is to support these players. Rooney is a striker, Torres is a striker. But both Liverpool and ManU play differently, which is why you see Rooney play behind attackers more and Torres playing upfront more.

Rooney sometime sticks on the left wing when United are usually away to reinforce the midfield. Also that is why Park Ji-Sung is played to confuse and tire out the other team's midfield.
