definitely AFC just think about the top 5 teams in Asia: Iran, S.Korea, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Australia

and then CONCACAF: US, Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rico, Canada?

no competition we (Asia) would have a winning record against those countries

before mexico had their little crap streak, i would think they could beat all those teams...not the case anymore

mexico and usa though, can still hold the asian sides at bay, and probably even beat them, maybe not s. korea, but the other 3 would all be dominated

I would say CONCACAF is a bit more top heavy, but AFC most certainly has more depth. Overall top to bottom... AFC.

CONCACAF: USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama

AFC: Australia, Japan, Iran, S.Korea, Saudi Arabia

AFC definitely has more depth, i would bet north korea or uzbekistan over jamaica or el savador...

random note: just looking at the rankings, China is 100th, i always envisioned them as 70-80 bad but they must really suck!

the problem is USA and Mexico are stronger than half the teams in europe..

USA and Mexico can beat all the teams in Asia, unless they have a real bad day. After those two teams, the top 4 of asia can most likely take out every other team after (in concacaf). Canada is also an underrated team in Concacaf. They should actually hold a tournament, concacaf vs afc.. that would be good to watch

i disagree teams like Japan and Australia will definitely cause problems for USA and Mexico and anyone could win. However, I'm afraid teams as inconsistent like our beloved TM won't do the same. Overall, AFC is better.

i'm not too sure about that, the usa beat japan the last 2 times they played. i believe the only way they would lose is if the usa and mexico had a bad game


australia on the other hand lacks chemistry to match up against either of the two teams. they have the depth like iran, yet lack the chemistry. australia was a much stronger side back in 98' - 2001'

Mexico is better than any asia team, but not by much. overall asia has more teams with more skill.
