Klinsmann and Germany didn't go well at first, but I guess he was lucky that the WC was in Germany and some kind of magic happened there in the teams chemistry.
So putting a (legendary) player at the helm of TM, without them having any kind of international coaching expirince isn't a wise thing.
I think all the federations have learned that by now.

In the WC qualifiers he had a easier group than Iran had, and still he didn't impress with good football or tactics.

easier group? scotland are underrated, they would beat any team in iran's wcq group. norway beat germany 1-0 a month ago. finland shouldn't be underrated either. i agree that the group is one of the easiest in the wcq, but staying undefeated in it (no draws either) is still very impressive
