    Who are KSA football stars???

    Hi Demis-11....

There aren't many Saudis abroad becasue they find it difficult to adopt to the Western life + There is a strong transfer market in the KSA (Saudi clubs pay large sums of money for them not to leave KSA)....Other reasons that are less important are: The Saudi League is very competitive + The league itself attracts some of the best managers in the World.

I hope this could change in the future and players welcome a foreign experience. The Saudi team have beaten the likes of Japan, S.Korea, and Iran. So, I don't think the Saudi player is lacking the necessary skill to play on the European level.

      djmo....

I just need to correct the 1st point in my previous post....

According to Islam, the girl's Wali (like agent, her father in many cases) has to accept her marriage, that doesn't apply to men....Actually I wasn't sure about it when I wrote it here....but anyway, the Wali (Father) acceptance doesn't necessarily restricts the girl's choice...In case there is an abuse by the father then Islam allows the girl to go to court, prove the abuse, and marry the man she wants.....

you have to realize that there are many abuses for many teachings in Islam by some people while it is actually intended for protection of the women/family....these are the result of some bad traditional habits and they're condemned in all societies.

If you're interested and want to discuss it more, then send me a personal message....you're most welcome.

I just need to correct you on few things:
        - It is not by LAW that some families are not allowing their girls the choice of marriage, this is something by TRADITION....some bad traditions has survived as well as good ones, but this trend has been decreasing since long time, these things are condemned and resented in our societies. The traditions that we like to keep is (for example) those related to identity...(like the traditional clothes for example).....I hope you don't consider us racists for that.
        - I agree to your point on cosmopolitan cities....by this you confirm that there are Arabs who think and behave differently than the stereo-type idea that you have about us...in Saudi/Kuwait/Bahrain/Qatar/UAE/Oman, there also people who are different than what you think they are.
        - The Prophet (p.b.u.h) was sent to rectify all mankind, not just the Arabs.
At last, you say what you say about us: Ignorant, arrogant, racist !!!....And you fail to consider that people might say the same thing about your own country and you WON'T be able to defend it, you won't even be able to defend YOUR OWN MODEL of your country....Besides, you also fail to consider the good examples in every race....
        Salam...
        Dear,

I know that Iranian culture also has arrogance, racism, ignorance and certain aspects of backwardness. But I'm being very objective here ... I really think Saudi culture is one of the most backward cultures. Now, this isn't to insult you, but perhaps mobilize your scholars/ intelligentsia to really modernize your country in important ways (not just big buildings).

And it is Law that a Saudi women can't marry a non-Saudi man. I know this because one of my friends, her parents couldn't marry cause her mother is Saudi and her dad is Iraqi, so they had to leave Saudi to get married.

Do I get you right?...are you saying that Saudi/Arab women cannot marry (or not free to marry) foreign men, but a Saudi/Arab men can marry foreign women ?
Yes, racism is a cultural thing, it has to do with tradition...still that is not very different than any other people....(If I get you right on the marriage example you gave) then even we'll not be too different than any other race...Iranians would prefer an Iranian for their girls, Latinos would also prefer a Latino, same goes for Brits and Americans....etc...everyone would feel that IT WILL BE BETTER that their girls have someone of the same race/culture/traditions....even girls feel more attracted to men of the same race or culture
Racism is a disgraceful thing, but its different than being proud of your culture and history or being attached to your traditions....We (Arabs) are as proud as anybody and we like to retain some of our traditions, that shouldn't be considered as racism.

where are you getting all this from... just leave man

El Matador's posts are constructed more logically and the content make more sense than those who are targeting personally (which means that they know that their arguments make no sense).

El Matador ... do not leave or be insulted. EZLN is a good person, it's just we, like everyone else, sometimes attack the person carrying a message rather than the message himself.

You're welcome to stay as long as possible

                  wa salaam

I agree brother. Now, I'm not saying that all Saudis are bad, of course not, most are probably very good people, just like Iranians. I'm just talking about culture-wise, unfortunately, both of our cultures have major flaws in them of course. And those who are enlightened need to help their culture grow.
