I am pretty sure that they even make the finals in Western Conference. Cause Lebron is actually the best Player in the NBA. Offense and defense.
And they showed it in the season, too. Beside him they have a in form Mo Williams and Ilgauskas.
So the final will probably be between La and Cleveland.
I'm not sure how much you like bball or how closely you follow the NBA, but the cavs would not be a top 5 seed in the west, their record was bloated with wins against some terrible teams in the Eastern conference, moreover they were crushed by some western powers when they played them on the road, Houston being just one example (because teams like Houston actually play legit D and limit Prince James' easy forays to the basket and force him to hit jumpers which he still has trouble doing on a consistent basis when you have a hand in his face)....James is a singular talent on the offensive end of the floor, but if you truly know and watch the NBA for the last two decades you would know that helpside defense (which is what Lebron has improved upon this season compared to the past 4-5 years where he was a terrible defender) does not make one a great defender or even a top defender in this league....sure sportscenter shows constant loops of Lebron's impressive blocks from the weakside where he comes from nowhere to swat the ball, however he is still a below avg to avg on the ball defender who routinely has guys blow by him...in other words he is no ron artest, shane battier, michael jordan, scottie pippen or even kobe bryant (whose defensive prowess is also far too hyped lately-you can't only play D when you want to which is what he does, you have to always play D to be a great defender) in terms of being an excellent defender.....
ok so i was arguing with the idiot utah/laker fans on facebook, for those of you who don't have me added, didnt see my arguements,
we can finally settle the debate: whose better? kobe or lebron.
i agree with chuck what he said on tuesday: if kobe doesnt win a championship THIS YEAR, he cant ever win a championship. the fine line seperating kobe and lebron is so thin that if he doesnt get a ring this year without shaq, i dont think he ever will because lebron will, seemingly, overtake kobe as the best player next year.
if kobe is able to win a ring THIS YEAR, he can supplant himself as the best player next year on the basis that he won a ring without shaq. if he doesnt win this year, nothiing seperates kobe and lebron, maybe except that lebron > kobe.

a championship wouldn't enable Kobe to surpass Lebron as the best player in the NBA

I cant believe bulls lost
That leaning shot Gordan made...AMAZING.
BUT WTF WAS HE THINKING LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
He seriously takes some dumbass shots but idk how he makes em!
I agree with Turkum. A team's championship is not gonna determine which one is better. The same way Kobe was better than shaq when shaq won in Miami and for now, Kobe is MILES better than Lebron. ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE. So a cavs championship is not gonna change that. One day with hard work and dedication Lebron may pass Kobe but for now not even close.
the cavs have the better "team". and a better team is not the team that has more talented players. Its the team that also plays better as a unit which the cavs are.
Lebron with his amazing and unique (never seen before) athleticism over compensates for his talent and bbal skill shortage against Kobe. To quote Kobe, its like he is jumping off a trampoline! Nobody in the NBA can match his athleticism and speed which is why they cant stop him whereas Kobe, dominates his opponents with his bbal skills and footwork. Most of the players who defend him are more gifted athletically but Kobe with his skills gets around them or shoots over them.

The difference between two players like Gordon and Miller is signified when their team is down 3 pts with 27 seconds to go and Gordon hits 3 consecutive throws while when its 2sec to go and Miller needs to hit two throws he missed both.

there is no way you believe that...being a fan can impair judgement but to this extent? Lebron is better than Kobe in almost every facet of the game save mid range shooting.....
there may be miles between Lebron and Kobe...but its in the other direction

you take Lebron away from the Cavs and they're a lottery team...possibly with the most numbers come the lottery show
you take Kobe away from the Lakers and they are still a playoff team...no question, even in the west.

when kobe still had a spring in his step he was nowhere near where Lebron is now...
