now that is a delusional statement :bs: :bs: :bs: , go look up mj's first 6 years in the league and see what he did, versus lebron's first 6 years, and keep in mind who mj was going up against in the eastern conference, which was 10000000000x better back then than the pitiful conference it is today....

Jordans first 6 years began once he was over 3 years removed from highschool

Lebrons first season began a few months after graduating

so compare Jordan's first year with Lebrons 3/4th year...when they were both the same age

that is another ridiculous statement because lebron fans always like to act like Jordan should be penalized for going to college for 3 years and winning a national championship (while hitting the winning shot) and being named the best player in college basketball as well....the fact of the matter is that MJ's first 3 years in the league still outshine lebron's 3-4-5th years ... i mean come on he avg 28+ ppg in his rookie season and he was the league MVP and the Defensive player of the year in his 4th full season....

moreover do you really think that the same mj who dominated college basketball (where he was purposely held back by dean smith in terms of allowing him to do what he wanted on the court), couldn't have walked into the NBA out of high school and put up better numbers than lebron?

Mj is the same kid who in his second season (the year he missed nearly the entire regular season due to a broken foot) basically just showed up with 20 games to go and his team dead in the water, led them to the playoffs, and then proceeded to drop 63 points on the Boston Celtics, one of the greatest teams of all-time...sometimes younger nba fans only think of the mid-30's jordan while forgetting the amazing stats he put up as a mere kid against hall of fame players....this also at the time when the rules were far less pampering towards the stars, and flagrant fouls were non-existent, you literally could clothesline people and it would be equivalent to a touch foul today.....lebron will be great no doubt but he is no jordan....

LBJ better that MJ? talking about delusional!

LbJ still needs to pass Kobe or jump over him the way he jumps before even looking at MJ

He went to HS he didnt is all blah blah blah. NBA has a learning curve. You could be 17 you can be 22. You still need a few years to go through that learning process. Ofcourse for most superstars like lebron, MJ, shaq, KG the list goes on get to have their own teams cuz hi draft teams are teams that usually suck. Kobe was just an exception since the Genius Jerry west grabbed him before anyone else even got a chance to even think of the highway robbery! So the good was that he was on a contender from the beginning but that bad was that he had to wait for years before he could be known as the team's top dog.

so dont compare those stats. Remember had MJ not retired his numbers woulda been much bigger

It took MJ 7 years to do something notable in the Playoffs ... and that's after he got Scottie. Who does LeBron have? Big Z is on his last leg, Mo Williams was a nonsense all-star choice this year ... who does he have?

And this generation of players is more athletic, better tools at their disposal, more technical in their knowledge of the game, more films, better scientific knowledge etc. ... meaning that LeBron's competition is tougher.

Plus, people quickly forget that LeBron made the NBA Finals ... when he was just 23 ... who was on his team then?

Think about it, it was Jordan's Hands that distinguished him ... that's according to Phil Jackson, not me ... Phil said he thought Kobe might be a better player overall! But Jordan's hands made the difference ... well, LeBron's entire body makes the difference!

LeBron = point guard speed, power forward body, shooting guard scoring ability ... the dude is a BEAST!!

LeBron is so good, that he doesn't even need to be clutch in the final seconds of the game, the dude just beats the hell out of you during the first 3 quarters, the game is done by the fourth. 8-0 so far in the playoffs, beating opponents by avg. of double digit points, 40-1 @ home during the season ... they aren't beating teams, they are KILLING them ... I mean, COME ON!! Also, it took LeBron 5-6 years to win the MVP before Kobe did. Who's going to win next year? It's almost pre-determined ... No one is as good as LeBron, NO ONE!

The dude is basically averaging a triple double in the post season, and he almost did that in season! The last to do that was Big O, Oscar Robertson, perhaps the most complete player of the game ... ever!

anyway, I'm not saying LeBron WILL be better than Jordan, I'm saying at their current age in their careers ... LeBron has better numbers, accolades and accomplishments ... so he's ahead.

Also, when Oscar Robertson was playing, no one thought there would EVER be another player as good as him again. But MJ came along and changed that perception. Same with Wilt, then came Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan ... players that at least matched a lot of their accolades and accomplishments

Fact is, players come along, and are better than players we thought could not be topped. This is natural. There will be players that come along to be better than LeBron when he retires and so forth. The only place where this doesn't happen, is in places like IR Iran where there is no system in place, and where talent regresses, not progress! i.e. at this current stage, we won't have a scorer like Ali Daei for a LONG TIME it seems ... why (read next sentence)? But the basketball structure in America (infrastructure, stadiums, competitions, huge talent pool etc.) is so good, guided, and PROFESSIONAL, and it's ALWAYS getting better, so there will be better players and byproducts of that system.

anyways, a 40 point lead for the lakers. is that good enough for the starters to rest?? hmm, I think it is!
