^^^pique will be there (even though i think marchena and puyol will be starting), iniesta, although he is amazing and is one of the most underrated players, wont be that missed because half their team are attack minded mids...but senna, yea thatll be a problem
I got my money on italy to win. after seeing how they played against ireland, mixing the young with old, they played exceptionally well. beware of the italians!!

Iniesta's partnership with Xavi was one of the reason Barca won triple and Spain the Euro08.
He will be missed badly.
I saw on goal.com Pique will be out for 2 weeks.

I swear we have the worst luck in international competitions. Nobody can convince me otherwise. Amr Zaki is injured and will be replaced by useless striker Mohamed Mohsen Abou Greisha who must have naked pictures of Shehata or something to get on the team ahead of some others .

Egypt technical staff have omitted Zamalek striker Amr Zaki from the FIFA Confederations Cup squad due to injury, and decided to name Mohamed Mohsen Abou-Grisha instead.
"Zaki was excluded from the list after sustaining a harsh hamstring injury," Egypt assistant coach Shawki Garib told FilGoal.com.
"We are now seeking to name (Ismaili veteran) Abou-Grisha in the squad to fill the frontline void."
The coaching staff will send Zaki's medical report to World governing body FIFA, and the latter should give them the permission to add Abou-Grisha in the squad.
According to FIFA's regulations, no changes can be made to final squads unless a player got injured.
On why head coach Hassan Shehata opted not to replace Zaki with Mido, Garib said: "That was not really an option, because Mido wasn't picked for the provisional squad."
Damn, no zaki. That sucks. But they got abotrika who is going to introduce himself to the world stage.
Also, our coach has food poisoning . I hope Treika can do his thing despite having no strikers to feed. Our only hope of scoring might be Treika free kicks.

you must say south african foods don't sound pleasant.
I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

Good luck mate. Both Egypt & Iraq are really going to need it.
Real shame Zaki is not going to feature. I'm still really sad to see Mustafa Karim miss out on this tournament as well. It could have been his time to shine on the big stage.
