I disagree, Shaq is just a shadow of the player he was, and this move is like trying to put a bandaid on a foot-long gaping wound, in terms of addressing the CAVS deficiencies on offense and defense. Not to mention that one of the biggest issues for the CAVS was their Pick and Roll defense, which just got that much worse with Shaq, who never was a great defender in his heyday, and nowadays is terrible at defending the P&R. Danny Ferry better have some other moves in mind if he thinks the CAVS will come out of a much improved Eastern Conference next year.
as a cavs fan im not too excited for this for 2 reasons
1) as ommy said, shaq isnt the player he was, he's still tight but the cavs need a big man who can shoot from long range
2) even if shaq is very effective, how much does he hav left in him? another year or 2? that's not gonna sway lebron over, he's looking for championshipS, not a one time deal

Well I agree Shaq isnt the player he used to be. Thats a given.
But, the Cavs gave up Ben Wallace and Sasha Pahlovic for a guy who averaged 18/8 last year.
The only thing I fear that may back fire on the Cavs is the spacing and team chemistry. Shaq likes to camp right under the basket and that may clog things up for LeBron when he wants to take it to the hole.
There are also rumors flying around that the Cavs are trying to trade for Vince Carter.
great deal for cavs.. KOBE/SHAQ now QUEEN/SHAQ hhmmmm interesting
yea cry baby lebron...lol....he thought this was his year, with all the hype, commercials, dancing, rappers backing him up, winning mvp, etc........then when he lost he couldn't handle the disappointment....it shows mentally he's weak

Everything is spot on!
regarding Carter, I dont want him on this team...cavs can't land him either...they dont have the contracts to move to fall within 25% of his (carter's) contract
I think the Cavs will look to resign Anderson for around $7.5mil
take a serious look at Villanueva...possibly for MLE
