    Luis Fabiano

He has taken his international game to another level after this tournament. He has shut up his critics who question if he deserves a place on Brazil's starting 11 (Beckenbauer)

this proves my theory that there are some haters who will NEVER give USA any credit at all. reminds me of the mexican fans who still think USA sucks at soccer, even though america owns them every single game.

get over it guys...Team USA will be a constant Top 10 team very very shortly.

the expressions on the faces of the brazilian players after they scored the game winner said it all...america almost had them!

great game by the USA, next stop: azteca stadium versus mexico in august
I really have to agree with you here.

The gulf in class between the USA team that just completed a great run in the Confederations Cup, and ANY version of TM in the past 4 years, is huge!

I sit here and read people talking garbage about the Nats losing to Brasil 3-2 (as if that's somehow bad), and also rip on players such as Jozy Altidore.

Jozy Altidore! A 19 year old with a big frame, great first touch and fantastic dribbling skills for a big man. He's better than any forward we've had since Daei in his prime, and yet people here rip on him for.. what? Because he supposedly "slows the pace", as if him holding up the ball is a bad thing. Please... people who rip on a 19 year old kid that is a part of Villareal, need to get their heads checked.

Jozy aside, the fact is that the USMNT is way WAY ahead of TM right now. The only advantage we have is that our players have better technical ability on the ball; but regardless, we'd be hammered by the Nats in a friendly.

just cuz he passed the ball to donovan when he scored, he was man of the match
You're blind. Either that, or you need to quit exaggerating and actually watch the match.

Davies only lost the ball when he took multiple players on, and even then he consistently managed to beat one defender, and sometimes more.

Here.. let me use your logic..

"Fabiano sucks. He lost the ball soooo many times, but the commentators acted like he's the best player EVVVEER! And why.. just because he scored a goal during the game? I mean, he missed like.. four other shots. Shees.. Sevilla should get rid of him."

Hey genius.. at least they MADE THE WORLD CUP. Lol.. what kind of insult is that?

Quit being a disrespectful hater. Regardless of whether or not you actually like the USA, their football team put on one heck of a show in this tourney.

Brazil dominated the ENTIRE game. All of the game was played in USA's half. Brazil had one goal disallowed. So can you tell me exactly why US should have won?
No, the USA dominated the "ENTIRE" first half, as was witnessed by anyone with eyes and a functioning corpus callosum.

The commentators said the same. But I am sure that your "expert" opinion is better, right?

What the hell is it with all the haters here? Some people here are so biased and unreasonable with analysis. It's almost as if they jump on anything negative, and then magnify it 100x to suit their drama queen-like nature.

i think a lot of the USMNT haters (and they arent just on PFDC, all of my foreign friends who like soccer talk shit about Team USA) are just jealous. to them, soccer is one of the FEW things they can claim they are better than the USA in.

just comparing the US soccer from the 1990s to now you can see the huge difference. MLS is also on the way up. pretty soon you will see it will have a combination of american talent, rising latin american players and european league veterans. they have made remarkable progress.

                Agreed, agreed!

MLS has indeed made so many strides.

I was watching the Galaxy-Dynamo game tonight, and took notice of how much better these teams were able to hold posession, compared to even five years ago. And as you know, that is part of what keeps a game entertaining. If two teams can't even keep a ball inbounds, or make a few passes, it's sooo boring to watch the match.

And it's not just these two teams, it's across the board in MLS, there is a greater level of skill.

23 American soccer players went to South Africa. 22 of them collected a silver medal.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

lol man MLS is the most boring league to watch, i cant watch one full game of that shit.
i rather watch azadegan league, IMHO IPL games are more exiting than the MLS.
u put the best game of MLS history and put it beside the worst game in the EPL the EPL game will be more exiting to watch
