The Under 19 World Basketball Championships start in a few days in New Zealand

In group play, Iran plays:
July 2 - US
July 3 - Egypt
July 4 - France

I think Iran can do well at this tournament. Basketball is a relatively new sport in Iran and much of talent is young, so the U19 tournament could be a good one for us. Also, the other teams dont have their superstars like they did in the Olympics. I didn't recognize a single name on the American Team

I saw those kids from Iran U19 two years ago at some tournament in our region ( South East Asia) on our local TV,

at that time I didnt know their names but I know they will be the backbone of Iran NT someday, based on theirs talent showed on that tournament ,the best player on that tournament was Arsalan kazemi ( he's 17 yo at that time and facing much older opponents )

Hopefully we will see some highlights on american tv though. Seth Curry is on the US team. He is the younger brother of Stephen curry, who played for davidson and was just picked by the warriors with the 7th pick in the nba draft
