obviously none of the big guns want to play for the US this summer due to exhaustion and the big FA craze, but this is a smart move by USA Basketball (except leaving OJ out) to let the young guys develop and learn a new dynamic of the game..but yea i dont think they will win it all..but they still have the most talented team and thus anything other than gold should be a disappointment

im confident Iran can do well enough, 2 wins is pretty much all you need to advance

i doubt iran will win any of the games, maybe one against tunisia...im sure they'll put up a good fight in every game but we dont have it all yet to win games against top teams in our group

i think we can go 2-3 and that would probably be good enough to advanced but then we would get clobered by the #1 seed of the other group.

After losing to Australia yesterday (60-69), Iran will now take on China for the 3rd place game, while Australia will play against Slovenia in the final. Games are being played today, and will most likely be broadcasted by some chinese channel.

About Nikkah, I saw some parts of the Iran-China game, and he was actually playing. So I guess only Haddadi is missing from this tournament...

results seem quite poor to be honest apart from william jones cup but then again they're just friendlies and even though we're only missing haddadi, i expect better. hopefully it just because they're being cautious not to get injuries and giving chances bench warmers.

but nonetheless what an amazing preparation by the Iranian Basketball Federation. I mean look at the list of those games and compare to our football games

these tough games will really prepare iran for the world championships.
