He's not horrible but he was always overrated. He'd only run that vanilla, flat 4-4-2 and never adjusted his tactics to fit his personnel.

I agree, he is a fairly average manager...and he is usually out of ideas very quickly. Doesn't seem too hard to outsmart him in a game.

I know, and you are on a limited budget and you are losing money everygame due to high wages and shitty sponsorship....here is a trick ..spend all your money on negotiator, go to free agents..sign players there and immediately sell them, so you make some revenue

anyway, working for a 3rd division side is a bit of a disgrace, after the teams that he has managed at both domestic and international level.

yes thats can be seen as very true, but dont u think its good in a way? i mean the premier league is bloody insane with the amount of money being spent , coca cola league 2 seems more of a sane normal league.

ive watched coca cola league 2, it an't half bad, some of the goals scored there are good but yeah its no where near the standard of league 1,championship or PL , and yes this thread has shown us that sven was a very overated manager partly cos he got england to qualify for the world cup and euros and steve mclaren ****ed up completely.But i think its good hes tring good things, and if fallen people earn 2 million pounds a year then when i grow up i wanna be a fallen person

...but make no mistake, Sven was made to look good because McClaren was such a F-ing donkey. I mean you could see him talking about "Stevie G" and he had this 'far-off look' in his eyes, basically I think he was in love!

anyway, 'macca' had no authority or respect with the players...which is why they screwed up so bad.

Sven was good for qualifying when England were faced with teams like Slovakia or Liechtenstein....but when it came to the big tournaments, Phil Scolari defeated him on 3 separate occasions.....twice as Portugal manager and once as Brazil manager.....and we've seen how much Scolari sucked at Chelsea!

loool yeah alot of international managers are indeed extremely overated. though sven didnt do much of a bad job at man city, they were in tatters untill he came in although he had a fat transfere budget.
