The legendary Yashin, is considered by many as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of the game.
He spent his entire professional football career with Dynamo Moscow.
1949-1971 Dynamo Moscow
1954-1967 National team, 78 caps
Played in three World Cups, 1958, 1962, 1966
He is also believed to have stopped around 150 Penalty kicks during his career.

about Yashin:

I've heard so much about his legendary abilities, he has an almost mythical status...partly I guess because there isn't as much footage of him around.

but a couple of things we can be sure of, the ball was heavier and more predictable in his day....however, players had far less cover from the referee...so a Goalkeeper would most likely have experienced far more fouls.
