lol, Ricardo is such a joke of a keeper he always makes me laugh when I watch him play. Remember when he scored that penalty in Euro 2004? LOOL what a comedian.

Anyway, a lot of England fans feel that they were unjustly dumped out of Euro 2004 by Portugal....which to be fair is true. I remember Sol Campbell rose above Ricardo and scored a great header, but Ricardo (as always) fell to the floor because Terry supposedly challenged him.

I dislike keepers who go for crosses and then realise they can't get the ball so they pretend they have been fouled

If refs call it, they'll keep doing it, same with diving of players, they need to be ignored or punished.

And France is relatively stacked aswell, Coupet, Barthez, Frey.

Ollie Kahn would normally be my choice, but recently Lehmann has been rock solid! especially champions league...man this guy is flawless! I would say he has the edge over Kahn.

lehman is now a little better but Kahn has more experience so they should both play in the WC.

I have one question for the Bundesliga experts out there (of which I am not one!!)....

Both Lehmann and Kahn are 36 years old, so quite possibly this will be the last couple of seasons that they play in the national team. I have only seen a few Bundesliga games live, and from what I gather Hamburg's K*rchstein has been in imperious form this season, would he be the natural successor to the number one jersey after these two keepers, or does Germany also have a wealth of goalkeeping talent like the other nations you guys have mentioned?

Lol it was a foul and England had no right to be mad. Especially the unprofessional newspapers that wrote the referee's adress in their newspaper.

Infact I had a picture to proof that it was a foul, but I can't find it now.

Oh wait I found a 3d video of it:

Ricardo tried to get to the ball but because of John Terry he couldn't get the ball. And the rules are that even if you touch a GK in such a position its a foul.

Lehmann worked very hard this year and if you look only to what he did this year he deserves it.

The English publics' reaction was a bit extreme, and a few hooligans even sent him death threats, which was totally wrong.

Ricardo goes down way to easily, and he isn't very strong in the air. I think he went down way too easily....John Terry had his eyes on the ball and was 100% focused on winning the ball. He jumped to challenge for the ball, which he has every right to do, but Ricardo being the weak and ineffective keeper he is fell like a deck of cards underneath him with minimal contact.

I've seen far worse actual physical assaults (in full view of officials) on the goalkeeper given as goals before.
