What are the odds though, that this same Argentina that is struggling to qualify...will get to the WC and win it?? Then Maradona will basically be made God Incarnate.

You often find teams that really struggle to qualify then go on to do well in the tournament, think Germany in 2002 making the final after nearly messing up the qualifying, e.t.c.

I know, Uruguayans utterly HATE Argentina, and will be up for it. They are sniffing blood, and knowing how disillusioned Argentina has been under Maradona, they will aim for the kill for 90 minutes and qualify directly for the World Cup.

Hell Argentina have to thank a 36 year old player for scoring the winner, given he hadnt played for them in 10 years and missed 3 penalties in a single match back in Copa America 1999 the last time he wore the Argentina shirt

Agree with you. They need to be crushed out and also France and Portugal. None of them deserve to be in the WC. Even Italy don't deserve either (also already qualified after lucky goal by gilardino in the last minute against Ireland).

thanks to fifas new seeding playoff system they will all probably make it. but hopefully they all lose in group stages like wc 2002.
