But on the flip side at least once our game was finished we knew we were done. As much as a high this was for you, you have to prepare yourself for an intense low should you not beat Algeria again on Wednesday, especially after coming off of such a high after this game.
The preparations aren't getting any easier with so many distractions. Rumors of fan injuries in Cairo, and widespread attacks on anything Egyptian in Algeria. Luckily for both teams, they've chosen to fly out to Sudan early.

Hard to imagine things getting any uglier, but they might. Apparently Egyptians are being attacked in Algeria and Egyptian offices being burned down. To hell with the World Cup if this is the cost.

    Egyptian workers attacked in Algeria

Egyptian workers in Algeria are being attacked to further ignite a tense and volatile atmosphere between both countries following Saturday's World Cup qualifier.

The Egyptian foreign ministry spokesman Hossam Zaki said many Algerians are laying siege to several Egyptian companies.

"The headquarters of Arab Contractors, Orascom and Egypt Air are being attacked," he told Al-Hayat TV late on Sunday.

"Some rash Algerian people are targeting all Egyptian workers."

Egypt defeated Algeria 2-0 on Saturday to force a playoff against their North African rivals in Sudan on Wednesday for a place at next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.

The build-up to that game has been marred by repeated verbal spats between both sides and things remained at the boiling point after the match.

Algerian paper Echorouk alleged some of the team's fans were killed in Cairo, sparking anger among them.

"Those fake internet reports are totally untrue," Zaki added before appealing for calm to avoid any unfortunate incidents.

    Save Us

Several Egyptian workers in Algeria called on the government in Cairo to intervene and end the matter, fearing for their lives in many Algerian cities.

"Please save us, we are dying," one of the workers, who was identified as 'Nagi', screamed in a phone call with the same channel.

Another one, who works in Arab Contractors, said he had been warned and told to leave his residence within three hours.

Algerian football-mad fans also caused uproar in some French cities following the Desert Foxes' defeat to Egypt.

Youths in the southern city of Marseille have clashed with police and smashed windows. French police said they had made eight arrests.

^wow this is top rivalry you will see in international football. both countries and teams really hate each other due to the events that are happening.

this is a very sad matter though with all the innocent people getting hurt in this situation like Egyptian workers in algeria. unfortunately after the match in sudan, things will get worse I hope Sudan puts tight security for the game.

        GO EGYPT!!!

^lol very funny, we all know sudan's issues and i doubt they will (which is why i said "hope") which doesn't make sense why the game is held there with the current issue of the fans.

Bosnia all the way. I hope they trash hollywood team Portugal in Zenica. Ey omide varam Edin Dzeko will teach those gay bastards.

And to those people who said that Portugal will trash Bosnia in Lissabon. Imagine what Ireland would do against Portugal. I don't even wanna think what Spain would do

They barely beat a very yound Bosnia and they should be lucky to win the game because Bosnia hit the post three times. Portugal will not have a easy time in Zenica given the circumstances their fans. Bosnia deserved the draw!

Egyptian team bus stoned in Sudan (by Algerian fans according to reports), and I don't mean the players are smoking chronic. Doesn't seem serious though thank God.
