the refs are the only people to be upset at here, they're the ones who are responsible for not seeing such a blatant infraction...
for those of you who are bashing henry, I find it amusing that you think he should be the target of your scorn. He made a play on the ball with his hand that could or could not have been intentional (to say that you "know he did it on purpose" is absurd, the play happened in a split second and even on replays it looks like a normal reaction) and it was ruled a goal. The onus is on FIFA and the refs to have a better system to detect such infractions or to get a replay system like that of the NBA, NFL...
Henry and the French National Team got handed an unjust victory but then again such things happen everyday in every single sport worldwide.
In the NBA guys get unbelievable foul calls that are blatantly wrong every single game (and in the NBA finals too if you watched Dwayne Wade three years ago), but what do you expect the player to do? Say no ref, I'm gonna forfeit my free throws here because you missed the call? This was a case of egregious human error in a game, and it happens all the time. I feel sorry for the Irish too, but such is life alas....
PS milad you seem to have a short memory when it comes to poor referee decisions and cheating, since you hypocritically defended your beloved Real Madrid two years ago when the ref cheated for them in a terrible victory they got at home against Osasuna. Back then you weren't making character assassinations of any of your players when they willingly took some biased calls with aplomb.

bet you my everything they'll go out in group stage
no Zidane to save their ass this time
you never know, going by the dark expression on his face (on the TV feed) while watching this game, I wouldn't be surprised if he was pissed off enough to make another comeback, after all the guy is still 34-35 i think.

not if they get rid of Domenech. They have enough talent on their bench to make up three republic of irelands starting elevens. They just need coach who can use it.
Milad to call Henry a cheater and disgrace is testiment to your bias. Not as a fan of France or as a fan of Barca, but as a fan of football, the beautiful game, Henry is about as close as you can get to being a class footballer. He's always been a hardworking player who is a joy to watch, a role model to his teamates, an activist, and has always been able to put smiles on the faces of those around him. You think this act, which in my and others opinions was more or less an unintentional reaction, outweights the class and character he's shown throught his career?!?!?!
