PS i have no relations with ireland, their heart is what won me over, in 130 mins of play not once did an irishman dive, waste time or act hurt

There shouldn't have been a replay between Uzbek-Bahrain...and there shouldn't be one this time...referee's make mistakes every single game...and unfortunately sometimes it may cost you the World Cup...but if we allow the Irish to have their rematch then who are we to say the next team that is robbed shouldn't have theirs. The French will get booed every game in the World Cup...they'll be entering the finals with a sense of shame...but I think it is wrong to have a rematch. A lesson should be learned from this...and video reviews should be incorporated into the games.

agha, should a referee mistake decide who or who not goes to a World Cup? the game is supposed to be won on the pitch. If it wasn't such a blatant handball, i dont think we would see a rematch, but the handball is so blatant, a replay must happen.

So the next time a referee forgets to call an offside, their should be a replay of the match? How bout when a referee forgets to call a foul and the other team scores a goal? Should there be a replay for that? If that's the case then you can bet almost every single soccer game in the world will somehow have to be replayed and in some cases the replay game has to be replayed also...when does it end?

We want referee's mistakes to be solved. Let that be video camera evidence (every major sport in the world except soccer has it) or let it be a replay in this case because it's such a crucial mistake.

That is the exact conclusion I made in my original post...rematch of the game won't solve anything, we need to change the rules so that we have video replay.
