seriously though i can see why they think haddadi looks like borat (sascha baron cohen). why is that offensive? cohen is half iranian. and our guards really cant pass that well (compared to nba players). so this thing just made us look dumb by getting so angry about it.
there are iranians still begging for democracy in iran. lets focus on those petitions instead.

How do you think the program would've responded if the commentators were comparing all the black players to animals, or Jewish/white players to other stereotypes? It would go to court.

Also, the commentators should show SPECIAL respect to the only Iranian player since the topic is so god damn sensitive, these people don't belong on TV if they can't get this logic.

whoa whoa no one ever compared him to an animal. its like comparing someone who is black and saying he looks like "tron" from dave chapelle. its a fictional character that he was being compared to. lol.

that was offensive and a bit humiliating when he comes in last 2min of a blow out game, with hardly any fans in the stadium. So to an average viewer they take him as a joke cuz of the way they made fun of where he was from.
all i know is shit is tough for haddadi these days, he can't get a break, it must be frustrating not to play game after game when ur big ass is right infront of the coach and u know damn well he sees u. i just hope he's tough enough to hang in there.
