if you watch the games you could see that he is not wasting others shots. With Gasol out there is no other consistent scorer so he has to take it upon himself. The only reason others get what they get is because of how the opponents defense is concentrated around him that it leaves other open.

But Sometimes when you are too great unfortunately there is a downside and that is that you always think you can do it even when you can't ( i.e. ali daei)

Congrats to Kobe Bryant for becoming the alltime leading scorer in the history of one of the best pro teams in major sports, The one and only Los Angeles Lakers! 44 points on 16-28 shooting.....too bad his teammates let him down by missing too many shots which lost the game for them

Kobe now the 3rd best laker of alltime behind #2 Magic and #1 who will always remain #1 laker of alltime among true fans: CHICK HEARN

so many terms people use these days and nobody knows where they have come from. (triple double, airball, slam dunk, etc....) He meant more to the game than anyone I know.

well yeah but he needs to rest. It was cute at first but I am beginning to get worried. He needs to be 100% for the playoffs

Remember when I said Phil gotta make Kobe rest if he doesnt want it? Kobe is injured and all he is doing is making him team suffer for it because of his ego. The Bobcats game could have been easily lost.

his greatest asset is also his liability. Just like ali daei, his competitive nature doesn't allow him to sit or back down. He thinks he can score 44 points every night. I have 100% confidence that he TRULY believes that which is why he is playing. But phil gotta take a stand. Even as a rookie, I can't remember Kobe having two very very different games one right after other. Its not him. Hope he sits after the allstar break cuz the truth is:

IF KOBE IS 100%, IT WON'T MAKE DIFF IF THE LAKERS ARE TOP SEED OR 8TH SEED.

I take back what I said in the previous post. I didnt watch the game but I just watched the highlights and it turns out he injured his ankle when odom landed on it and still played 30 minutes. Also, I think its phil to blame here:

...Jackson played Bryant for the first 3:10 of the fourth quarter before taking him out because of how Bryant's ankle was limiting his play. The Lakers were able to build an eight-point lead with Bryant on the bench, but Jackson subbed him back in when their cushion dwindled to four with 2:55 remaining.

"I really didn't want to have to bring him back but when they closed the gap there in the last two minutes, I think I had to," Jackson said.....

                      Thanks phil

This guy simply doesn't f*ck around. How many times can someone possibly hit clutch game winning shots in 1 season?

I dont know why I posted this in the NBA thread, ah well:

When Kobe changed his jersey #, 4 years ago, some said that it was a stunt to increase jersey sales. Well 4 years later with a bummed knee and broken finger and declining numbers my man still rules the NBA and all of this while LbJ is putting out of this world alientype numbers with that avatar body of his!
